Join the interactive classroom by creating an account for your class.  Upon logging in, you will be able to create a profile.  You will also gain access to a forum/message board, online chat capabilities, and gain access to a collection of lesson plans that make integrating the project into your curriculum both straightforward and meaningful. The lesson plans will meet national educational standards and millennium development goals.  Additionally, registered users will gain access to an online letter writing application that automatically directs emails to the appropriate political representatives depending on the users location and the ability to attend video conferences that connect them with leaders in our partner organizations and each other. 

  Empower the Congo aims to provide the people of the Congo with the resources that will empower them to improve their situation and the condition of those in their community, while at the same time connecting participants and demonstrating that they do have the ability to positively impact the lives of people in far away places. It is our hope that those who join us in this effort will remain active in international causes and will come away from the experience feeling empowered and with a skill set that will allow them to make a difference in future efforts of their choosing.
